The Irish pound note has a picture of a slinky Roman-looking Hibernia (Ireland), with the inscription "Bona Fides Reipublica Stabilitas", which means something like "Good faith is the anchor of the Republic". This is probably not what Hibernia is actually saying. Hibernia looks a lot more interesting than the Queen, who seems something of a sourpuss. It's signed by WJ Adams, a good Irish name.
