Aki Takase (left) and her cousin, Uri. Aki is a fine jazz pianist whom I met in Tokyo playing in a club one inport. Great lady. She lives in Berlin now. Here’s her Web site. Aki, Ron, Uri and I hung out and travelled around Japan together while we were there.

At the beautiful old, Shinto temple in Kyoto. I wonder if she ever got tired of looking up his nostrils every time they talked?

On the train back to Tokyo from Kyoto. Aki had perfect pitch as a musician. When she was young and travelling with her mother, mom trained her ear using sounds in the environment. A very talented woman.

The Old Temple in Kyoto

A massive, wooden structure.
