Another Photo of the Bow Covered in Ice
This one happened shortly before I came aboard. Apparently the Master was so concerned about the ice buildup that he ordered everyone not on watch go out on deck to break off ice. The master himself participated. The concern was the the ship could capsize if it came around so it steamed for a couple of days directly into the wind until the ice could be reduced.
